The Jimny's genuine leading and trailing arms are made of relatively inexpensive cast iron, which can bend or, in the worst case, break during aggressive off-road driving. A broken arm not only prevents the vehicle from moving properly on the road surface, but can also cause the coil spring to detach or the propeller shaft to come loose, leading to the risk of tipping over or rendering the vehicle inoperable.
The H.D. leading arm body is made from robust extruded carbon steel tubing (STKM11S), offering high strength with a shear force approximately 18 times the axle load.

Both the left and right arms are welded with jack-up bosses, similar to the original arms.
